Candidaturas abertas para a 3.ª edição do IN COLORS PROJECT
Applications are now open for the third edition of the IN COLORS PROJECT, promoted by LUMICROMA, a Platform for Valuing Photography and Photographers. Supported by the Câmara de São João da Madeira and Boavista Seguros, this project aims to emphasise, year after year, the importance of photography as a form of artistic intervention and socio-cultural record.
The first two editions of IN COLORS PROJECT, dedicated to the themes REACT! and HOME, received thousands of works from 82 countries. This time, the Call for Entries invites photographers to reflect on the theme JOY. Applications must be submitted on the initiative’s website by 18 March 2025. Between 19 March and 11 May 2025, the applications will be analysed and selected by a panel of judges made up of Alfredo Cunha, Aníbal Lemos, Carlos Cezanne, José Maçãs de Carvalho, José Manuel Rodrigues, Maria João Cortesão, Mirian Nogueira Tavares, Olívia da Silva, Rui Poças, Suzana Lopes Dias and Teresa Siza.
The selected works, to be announced on 15 May 2025, will be presented in a group exhibition at the São João da Madeira Art Centre, between 28 June and 27 September, and online at LUMICROMA. The panel of judges will award three prizes: a Grand Prize worth €5,000.00 and two Honourable Mentions worth €1,400.00 (each). There will also be an Audience Award vote on LUMICROMA online between 28 June and 30 July 2025, which will result in the award of an Audience Award worth €700.00. The four winning works will be publicly announced on 19 August 2025, World Photography Day.
