A Corda Mor
A Corda Mor is a hybrid project of exhibition, research, performance and poetry that seeks to reflect on the year 1974 – a date of the greatest importance in Contemporary Portuguese History, which inspired many authors and artists not only Portuguese, but also foreigners.
In this context, the curatorship of Sonia Salcedo del Castillo and Marinah Raposo establishes a formal and visual analogy between Portugal and Brazil, with the participation of Alex Hamburger + Elaine Pavolid, António Olaio, Clarice Rito + azuLABula, Coletivo Seu [Amora Pêra + Pedro Rocha + Pedro Lago], Inês Moura + Lilian Walker + Rita Maria, Neno del Castillo + Sonia Salcedo and Ricardo Aleixo + Natália Alves.
In this parallel perspective, history is heard in both countries, between liberation and oppression, hope and unrest, collective construction and crisis.
From March 14th to 15th, A Corda Mor presents a compact but intense program at Ateliê A Fábrica, in Coimbra, from 7pm to 10pm. This program is part of the XXVI Cultural Week of the University of Coimbra. More info here.
