3rd edition of Drawing Room
The third edition of Drawing Room is going to adapt its programme to the current global situation rendered by the pandemic.
Divided into two spaces – at the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes (SNBA) and the online platform drawingroom.store – the Drawing Room 2020 is receiving a total sum of 38 galleries, 20 on-site at the SNBA and more 18 at the online platform, featuring, respectively, 60 and 150 artists not only from Portugal and Spain but also from the United Kingdom, Brazil, Argentine, Holland and Italy.
We highlight the exhibition O sol de inverno: a cavalo congela a minha sombra, curated by Natxo Checa, and two site-specific projects by the Mozambican artists Santos and Rodrigo Mabunda and the Spanish artist Guillermo de Foucault.
As a way of keeping some buzz and curiosity around, Drawing Room is offering a series of prizes in different sections: Acquisition Prize Millenium bcp – Emerging Talent, Highlighted Artistic Project Prize, Gallery Curatorial Project Prize – the three of them supported by Fundação Millenium bcp; New Talent Drawing Prize – Drawing Room Lisboa & Viarco, and two new prizes supported by Fundação EDP and PLMJ.
The Drawing Room will happen from 14 to 18 October, at SNBA and the online platform drawingroom.store.
