Benefiting from the efforts of Fundação Millenium bcp in supporting cultural activities, UmbigoLAB (the social network for art) is inviting all interested to meet us at JustLX and get to know the Android and iOS apps, already available on Google Play and the App Store. Ana Sofia Velez and the artist Ana Fonseca will be at the JustLX art fair to present one of the last and most challenging projects from Umbigo Magazine: this social network, which crosses the contemporary, artistic and curatorial practices, stimulating new synergies beyond the structures, the systems and the most conventional strategies. Also, UmbigoLAB is trying to implement new dynamics, adopting the usual routines of these current, bubbling platforms, not only for the artists, curators and advisers, but also for the enthusiasts in Portugal and abroad. Ana Fonseca and Ana Velez will be from 18 to 19 at JustLX to show and explain the dynamics of the platform.

JustLX is back at Museu da Carris, in Lisbon, with the Great Support of the President of the Portuguese Republic, assembling more than 250 artists, represented by 45 galleries from 12 countries: Argentina, China, Colombia, Spain, United States of America, France, England, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Portugal and Sweden. Lourenço Egreja is also back with Semíaris Gonzáles and Daniel Silvo, to underline the founding principles of JustLX: showing the emerging galleries and artists to those who are interested, mainly collectors – the most knowledgeable as well as the beginners; project internationally the present galleries and artists, stimulating the attention and the international markets for the most recent artistic, curatorial, exhibitive and commercial manifestations; differentiate the circuits and the associated event; and broaden the possibilities of reaching new publics, especially amongst the younger generations.

Thus, JustLX is inviting six institutions, three Portuguese and three Spanish: Fundação Millennium bcp, Roulote and Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores; Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Florencio de la Fuente and Visual Entidad de Gestión de Artistas Plásticos. Fundação Millenium bcp is the patron of JustLX and is also delivering the Prize for Emerging Art. We’ll know on 19 May, around 4 pm, who will succeed Estefanía Martín Sáenz, from Galería Gema Llamazares.
