The New Art Fest ’18
The New Art Fest begins today, a festival which tries to promote digital art in Portugal, while fomenting at the same time the connection between art, technology, urbanism and politics.
Curated by António Cerveira Pinto, Brian Mackern, Gustavo Romano and Nilo Casares, the program offers several exhibitions, debates and events that take part on the current themes of contemporary society such as gentrification, internet and virtual communities, all articulated through the moto “America online / Net generation”.
With António Cerveira Pinto’s artistic direction and the production by Ocupart, The New Art Fest is available until 30 November at Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência; until 18 November at Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea do Chiado; from 21 to 30 November at Secção Regional do Sul da Ordem dos Arquitetos; and from 28 to 30 November at Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes.
