2018 Millenium BCP Young Art Award
The Millenium BCP Foundation and Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa continue the effort of supporting young artist recently graduated – with a trip to a European city, an inclusion into an artistic event, and the continuation of their professional graduation – and the organization of an exhibition with the selected names. The second award includes a residency through the Centro Português de Serigrafia.
The chosen place is the space Águas-Livres 8 and the jury features the Spanish curator Semíramis González, the director and curator of the HANGAR project Bruno Leitão, and the artist Pedro Calapez. The finalist who’re integrating this exhibition are Beatriz Coelho (from FBAUL, Lisbon), David Dançante (University of Évora), Fernando Marante (Ar.Co.), João Miguel Ramos (FBAP, Porto), José Taborda (FBAUL, Lisbon), Maria von Hafe (FBAUP, Porto) and Sofia Mascate (FBAUL, Lisbon).
In 2017 the awarded artist was Fernão Cruz who ever since has consistently produced and shown several works and exhibitions, thus confirming the importance of this award in the starting point of a career.
Until 28 July, don’t miss the second edition of Millenium BCP Young Art Award, at Águas-Livres 8, Lisbon.
